Inflatable pessaries are used in cases where patients have difficulty in retaining other types such as ring pessaries, gellhorn, club, shelf pessaries.
Inflatable pessaries are used for mild to moderate pelvic organ prolapse and can be used to support one of serveral prolapses,
Such as for third-degree prolapse/procidentia with or without mild cystocele and/or rectocele.
The inflatable pessary is inserted into the vagina it can be inflated by the using the detatachble pump. Removal of the inflatable pessary is done by releasing the air from the valve and removing slowly from the vagina.
Inflatable pessaries can be made from Latex or Silicone and are available in different sizes.
